The Austin Chronicle | Identity

In 2020, The Austin Chronicle launched a redesign that included the first major redesign of their logo since 1995. I designed this new logo with 3 important concepts in mind: to subtly evoke nearly 40 years worth of Chronicle logo designs, to design a modern mark that has impact and clarity, and to make it a logo that will last – not designed in a current trend that would soon make it look tired and dated. I’m very happy with the result, and feel it was the most successful project I pulled off during my tenure as Art Director.
